The characteristics of our cotto created by padane clay, make it unique. Strength, porosity, the unassailabilityby acids, waterproofand resistand to freezing, come from ancient procedures.
After a slow desiccation process using natural methods, the product gets cooked at temperatures higher than 1000°C for over 24hours which transfers the clay, originally grey, into the most beautiful intense red typical of cotto lombardo.
